November Well-Being Focus: Self-Worth

Our Well-Being Focus area for the month is Self-Worth

And now the end is near and so we face our final curtain ‘self’ focus (I worked out I could literally have the entire post as a parody of My Way – but I’ll spare you that).

We really have come to our final chapter in the trilogy of ‘self’.  We’ve explored self-awareness, self-acceptance and now we move smoothly on to perhaps the most vital self-concept of all…

We’re aware of ourselves, we’re accepting of ourselves (or we’re working on it anyway), now it’s time to love & most importantly, value ourselves.

Not to be mistaken with the related but nonetheless separate area of self-esteem, self-worth is something completely based within us.

Where our level of self-esteem is often measured by external influences – how big our bank balance is, what size the label in our clothing says, how many likes we get on Instagram; self-worth is measured by how much you value & regard yourself in spite of these things.

In fact, a high level of self-worth will naturally enhance your self-esteem. And do you know which one is less easily taken away from you?  Which one is less in the control of others?  Which one will lead to you feeling more fulfilled?  Yes, you’ve guessed it!

Get ready to acknowledge your true value, to treat yourself in a way that says, I’m worthy of good things, I’m deserving of happiness, success & love.

I don’t want to sound like a shampoo ad here, but you literally are worth it!

What to expect this November…

Obviously, I’ll be talking more about self-worth, how to develop it, how to deal with those nasty little voices in your head that try to challenge you on it, how to start to show yourself some love (without feeling like a big selfish a-hole about it)

Plus, I’ve got a really exciting giveaway planned, that will leave you no excuse not to indulge in some important ‘me-time’ every month!

I hope you’ll join me in working on our levels of self-worth this month. Be sure to enter your email in the Stay Happy box below & you won’t miss out on any of it!

  1. I am definitely interested in exploring my self worth – especially after discovering that I am an ’empath’ and I need to be kinder to myself. The things we learn as we get older….! Lovely post Alex x

    1. Wow, that’s a discovery! I know that can be very draining sometimes. So yes, absolutely putting things in place to maintain your well-being such as being kinder to yourself is definitely going to help. It’s great to be able to have this awareness of ourselves isn’t it! Thanks for sharing Lauretta xx
