And we’re back! Yes, the school summer holidays are at an end and normal service is resumed. So with this in mind, it’s time to tell you all about our new well-being focus for this month.
September is about awareness.
Predominantly we’ll be focusing on self-awareness – being in touch with how you feel. Having gone through an intensive course of therapy, I’d class myself as self-aware. This awareness empowers me to not only meet my needs but also has a positive knock-on effect on the needs of those around me. It definitely helped me to get through the school summer holidays with a good sense of well-being intact!
Really looking inwards & learning honestly about yourself, isn’t always a pleasant experience. It’s a bit like when you hear your voice recorded for the 1st time – you know it’s your voice you’re hearing, but it doesn’t necessarily sound how you’d like it too. Committing the time & effort into fully understanding yourself is such a worthwhile (and some would argue, necessary) process, in order for you to be happier. It can actually be quite freeing and create a strength within you which you may not have felt possible.
I won’t speak too much more on self-awareness here as we have an inspiring & positively impactful post by September’s guest contributor, Simone from 11 Years of Nappies coming up very soon.
Award-winning, self-help author Alison Swift, will be joining us to share some of her top tips for building tools to help maintain your well-being.
And if that wasn’t enough, they’ll also be a giveaway! You’ll want to stay tuned for this one, believe me!
