Garnier Summer Body

A moisturising lotion with a hint of tanning ingredient to gradually build a natural-looking tan. Enriched with natural extract of apricot, this light, fast-absorbing formula is easily applied and smells like summer in a bottle.
A great starting point for any self-tanning newbie. Available in either light or dark (deep sun-kissed) shades. Gradually build your tan by applying daily.
Available from multiple retailers – make sure you shop around as this is often on offer

Good to know Personally I find both the Garnier and the Dove products give a good result. I have fair skin, but use the darker shades in both as it allows me the shade I want quicker. However, if you are pale I would suggest the lighter shades as a starting point. I switch between the two products regularly. For me, it usually comes down to which is on offer. I would suggest smelling the products before purchase – you might prefer the scent of one over the other.
Clarins Delicious Self Tanning Cream

This was an emergency duty-free buy for me a few years ago and it’s the happiest spot purchase I’ve ever made.
Firstly I love the smell – it’s quite fudge-like. Secondly, it’s caramel in colour so you can easily see where you’ve applied it and provides an instant golden-boost. It’s almost fool-proof and develops quickly.
And just to take this product to one step above brilliant – you can apply it to your face too!

St Tropez Classic Bronzing Mousse

An oldie but a goldie. This multi-award winning self-tanner is – in my humble opinion – still the daddy of the self-tanning world. Granted, the application requires more attention and be prepared to wake up with your bedsheets covered in it – but it gives a great long-lasting tan.
This product also includes a colour tint to the mousse so you can see where you’re applying it. I highly recommend the use of a tanning mitt, getting the mousse off of the palm of your hands can be a pain. However, I will say it’s a little pain for a massive self-tan gain. ing products

UTAN & Tone Nourishing Night Creme
I am in love with this self-tanning night creme. It provides good skin hydration in a non-greasy way and contains premium skincare ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamins and antioxidants.
Applied in place of your usual night cream – a few times a week – the organic tanning agent develops overnight and adapts to your skin tone to give you the closest looking natural tan possible. It also contains an ingredient to fight against blackheads.
Be prepared to wake up in the morning with a great base for your make-up.-tanning products

I only like to put on my legs but find they are so streaky … do you recommend one for that?
I have to be ultra careful with my legs too, but I’ve found if I exfoliate and moisturise before applying the tan the streaks don’t happen. Ones which have a hint of colour on application, such as the St. Tropez or Clarins, help you to ensure a more even distribution – hope this helps x
It does – thank you!
