As highly tempting as it is to try the new Nars Radiant Longwear Foundation (who am I kidding? I will try it) it would need to be pretty special to claim the space in my makeup bag, currently filled by Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Light.
If you are looking for a foundation that is exceptionally easy to apply, gives great natural looking (sheer to medium) coverage, won’t clog your pores and stays put for a longer than average period of time, then say hello to your next foundation.
I usually apply this foundation at around 7am and find that by 3pm it’s still in place. Only a dusting of powder and top up of blush required. That is pretty good going by my standards.
For a great finish, I recommend application with a makeup brush.
Whilst I have found that it does help to control excess oil, you will still need to apply powder for a complete matte look. I recommend Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder (£21)
Promise me, that if you give this foundation a try, you will head in-store to have one of the Estee Lauder Consultants Colour Match you (please don’t try to guess your shade online).
Additionally Estee Lauder often offers free 7-day trials – so what are you waiting for?
