Labelled as a Cult Classic and with the reviews & sales to back this claim up, it shouldn’t surprise you that NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna is my favourite go-to in helping create a natural healthy glow.
NARS Bronzing Powder Review:
I was first introduced to NARS Bronzing powder back in 2011, when I was fortunate enough to have David Scheffen (then international NARS & celebrity makeup artist) apply my makeup. The charming French man reassured me – whilst I recoiled in horror as he started to apply bronzing powder on my particularly pale face – that this was not going to make me look orange. He was right.
Rather than making you look like Garfield, the diffused powders and golden shimmer provides an illusion of all-over warmth and smooths over pores nicely.
If like me, you require a product to prevent you from looking at best opaque – then NARS Bronzing Powder is a worthwhile addition to your makeup collection.
In winter months I use a light dusting for contouring. I apply by tracing an inverted ‘3’ down either side of my face. Starting at the forehead and finishing along the jawline.
For summer months I gradually build layers all over my face before reapplying slightly more on the parts where the sun would naturally hit – essentially the bridge of your nose, cheeks, forehead & chin- ensuring a perfect sun-kissed bronze.
NARS Bronzing Powder application tips:
- Don’t forget to apply to your neck and decollete for a more natural look.
- Allow the powder time to settle between layers. A couple of minutes is all it takes to gauge a more accurate view of how much more (if any) you need to apply. It also helps to look at yourself in a different light.
Available in 3 shades. I wear Laguna, which is best suited to fair, cool-toned skin.
RRP £30. Available from the majority of major beauty retailers or here
