In general, I don’t use serums. I cleanse, tone & moisturise daily and add-in exfoliation and a face mask for good measure a few times a week and that always seemed to be enough for my skin.
To be fair, I have tried serums before and personally, I just found them to be a lot of hype with minimal result. But back in August, I was sent L’AVES’ Bright & Lift Extreme Performance Facial Elixir to try and so like a good skincare blogger, I put aside my scepticism and started to trial it.
I’m very pleased I did – this serum is seriously good. Let me share with you why!

Created to revive stressed-out skin, tackle fine lines and provide a nice ‘lift’, this golden serum intensely nourishes, restores elasticity, rehydrates and refreshes to reveal a bright, smooth & dewy complexion.
A powerful blend of ingredients encourages the regeneration of skin cells, plus the unique combination of Omegas 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 and vitamins A, D, B1, B2, B6, E, K (sourced from cucumber, tomato, rosehip, broccoli and camelia) are enhanced by microalgae and marine trace elements all working to restore balance to your skin.
Good for? All skin types, anti-ageing.
Highly simple to use, I apply 4-5 drops AM & PM post-toner and massage gently in using upward strokes before I apply my organic facial oil.
Top Tip: Each morning gently pat some of the serum under your eyes to help gently de-puff the area.

One bottle lasts you a long time! I started using this serum twice daily back in August, three months along and I’m still not even halfway through. At this rate, I’ll be using this bottle up until March next year, which is good value for money.
It’s handmade! All of L’AVES products are made in small batches by hand. This ensures that the product is always fresh and of good quality. I love that it’s not mass-produced and a lot of care has gone into the creation of it – that’s definitely a big plus point for me.

Would I purchase L’AVES Bright & Lift Extreme Performance Facial Elixir?
Yes. At £65 per bottle it’s not cheap, but when I think about how effective it is, how long it lasts, how much I like using it and its alignment to my skincare values, it’s definitely a product I will purchase once this bottle finally runs out.
