Can you believe we’re over half-way through 2019 now? Yes, we’ve reached July. A new month and a new well-being focus for Living.Pretty.Happy.
For July we are focusing on optimism.
Optimism, or glass-half-full thinking, is a way of looking at our world with hopeful anticipation and confidence that all will be O.K.
A healthy dose (and I stress a healthy dose) of optimism enables you to approach life with a sense of possibility. It helps build resilience in the face of stress and can positively affect both our mental and physical health.
We just need to be mindful that optimistic thinking is best used in conjunction with a balanced amount of realism. Research has shown this is the best way to achieve our goals. [Source credit: Psychology Today]

For me personally, optimism centres on changing my thought process from what could go wrong to what could go right.
